April 26, 2025
Open to all from the novice to the seasoned runner, this focus is on knowing your community and your neighbors, and building on our great diversity together!
Saturday, April 26 2025 at Kearney Park
Run start 5k 9am
9:05 5k walk
8:30 10k walk
Why there: Because Kearney Park was for close to 100 years, the only park for residents in our West-Central Community. While we now have Inspiration and Jaswant Singh Khalara parks, this regional gem has stood the test of time, and welcomed families from all both the city and county region, so it helps us look to the future of more parks, beautification, walking paths and family gathering locations in our community, it's also a nod to the rich agricultural history of our area
Description:
This 5K event symbolizes HCCD's commitment to strengthening the interconnected pillars of education, health, housing and overall community development to support long-term community well-being and sustainability, while we gather together neighbors one and all.
Find out all about positive things happening in our community with great resource booths to visit after the race! Stay to visit the Kearney Mansion as well as learn about the great focal points in our area
Benefits the HCCD Family Crisis Navigation and Food Pantry programs – that gave out over 13000lbs of food last year, and helped over 900 families.
All participants receive:
Finisher's Medal
Our 5k and 10k are timed events with age group awards
Age Group Winners receive a trophy
